Rocket Glide
Rocket Glide was started when Bob Blasi, a car wash owner from Kansas, had an issue with his Airlift door while preparing for the winter season. One of the doors wasn't functioning properly, so he removed the cylinder and disassembled the system to try to repair it. He discovered that the magnets had rusted and broken apart. When he reached out for replacement parts, he found out he would have to replace the entire carriage at a large cost. This lead him to develop his own cost-effective solution. He drew up an idea for a rebuildable carriage, and Rocket Glide was born. After completing the design, applying for a patent, and working with an engineer to create the RG100 Carriage, he installed and used it on his own door. After a year of field testing without failure, he went to market with his small line of carriages and air cylinders.
